Minutes from the latest meeting

- John Riddell talked about his upcoming awareness raising event in the Annex at Trinity St Paul's Church on Bloor (check the events section for details).
- Mary-Margaret McMahon talked about the upcoming reskilling events she has organized on medicinal herbs and soap making, taking place at Danforth Mennonite Church (check the events section for details).
- We discussed some of our goals for 2010, which include becoming an official Transition Town (or Transition City) and creating and growing strong subcommittees. The four subcommittees we have decided to create were: Outreach (talking to people, movie showings, general awareness raising and spreading the word), Networking (connecting with all of the other environmental groups in the city, and helping them accomplish their goals), Reskilling (organizing Transition Reskilling events throughout the city on a wide range of topics), and Supporting (helping all community level Transition initiatives in the GTA get what they need to be successful and become official Transition Towns)
- After that we all raised our hands to express interest in which group we wanted to join, and broke out into the respective groups.

We've also decided to hold regular meetings on the second Thursday of every month. Be sure to check the events section for information on the February meeting.

Note that the February meeting will be on the 3rd Thursday of this month, as the second Thursday is the date of Transition Annex's awareness event.
