Profile Information

What area of the city do you live in (neighbourhood or nearest intersection)?
I have moved to Colborne between Cobourg and Prince Edward County with an eye to creating a Transition Town.
What aspects of Transition are you most passionate about?
Food, Community, Environment, Quality of life, Local Economy, Permaculture, Art
What are your skills that could help with Transition?
I am a speaker, counsellor in private practice fully dedicated to my work as a wayshower in creative ideas for sustainability. My Forte is waste management creative recycling and urban design. I have created a small start in urban farming on my lot with permaculture in mind as well as a gallery of work for installation showcasing art about this field (Recycling Queen brand).
If you could design your own role in Transition Toronto, what would it involve?
I am a strong and comfortable presentor, MC and have graduated my leadership program with a large art event drawing on multiple disciplines for interaction and education. I am also a very strong evaluator and analyst. Very useful in problem solving. You know your needs better than I. Perhaps satelite connections from other cities, sharing support.
How many hours per month would you realistically spend on Transition Toronto?
2, more or less depending on need for events etc.
Are you affiliated with any other organizations in the City?
I just joined ZTM, but I belong to several organizations outside of the city. I am a Toastmaster (DTM). My belief is that a strong stable and resiliant citizenry in TO benefits all who lovingly claim it also as their own without residence. I have become a member of the Board at GO GREEN Together (Northumberland).
