Awakening the Dreamer Symposium Feb 18th

Dear WEIT ones

I will be facilitating an Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream symposium this Saturday Feb 18th at Windermere United Church - Windermere at Mayfield, 2 blocks S of Bloor.Between Runnymede and Jane subway - 3 blocks from each. .

10 am-2pm lunch included and it's free (donations accepted).

The symposium is a natural complement to Transition, and I'll be plugging TTo, but some support would be welcome. We might get some new participation out of it!!

Hi Joy,

Finally got around to replying. -- this was the 2nd of 5 symposia I facilitated in Feb and March this year. I'm hoping to do more this fall.

The response was excellent. several more participants than expected and very engaged. Our time was a bit short - lunch was very good but we should have scheduled another hour. Even so, people were quite moved and motivated to action - to reframe their perceptions "seeing the world with new eyes".

I just got back from the real world of the Ecuadorian rainforest so am full of vision of sustainability and balance.

What do you think of the idea of doing a symposium as part of WEIT or TTo in general?

I think it's an awesome idea. Let's discuss further and I'll share it with Daniel or you can let him know.  I've been sharing a proposal for a number of workshops in the fall with Daniel. Once we get things pinned down, we'l be posting it here. Stay tuned.

Also, I'm working out some connections for venues/space, so hopefully we'll have a nice place to run it.

BTW, I started a Transition Etobicoke neighbourhood group and plan to run some documentary screenings locally.
