Thanks for setting this up Martina, let's see what we can do to use it well.

EETE currently meets bi-weekly if not weekly on Monday evenings, from 6:30pm. Our location changes regularly, so please contact either Brin Conard or myself - follow above website link for our email addresses. The east end has several project plans and new members this year, so if you live in our area join us to see what we're up to! :)

As the planting season is upon us now - somewhat delayed but now taking place despite the wet, muddy & cooler conditions (since second week of May) - EETE's weekly activities are focused on getting seeds and seedlings into the group members' 5 gardens.

Actual "meetings" for discussion and planning will be squeezed in as and when time allows.

Sorry I'm joining the party a little late.  Life has been hectic and I haven't been on the site in a long time. We just started ripping out the wooden wheelchair ramp that we don't need(came with the house) and intend to put in raised garden beds asap.  We aren't starting from seeds this year, too late, but will be putting seedlings and plants in.  More interested in permaculture , such as rhubarb, berries, apple trees, asparagus, etc. but also some salad greens for day to day.

Raised beds are good! And with this year's wet & cool spring I think many of us are behind with planting - forcibly so.

Do you live in the Beach? Are you hoping to join us for meetings and activities? Feel free to send me a private message with your email address, so we can connect more directly.

Thanks for the newbies meeting, Martina!  Looking forward to more ways to be involved (and the possibility of a spin-off group around Queen St. E.)

It was a pleasure to meet those in attendance.  Hope to see you all again soon!

Hello David,

Welcome to EETE!

Despite no recent comments on this page, we have had EETE meetings since then. Our members are not very keen on this techie way of communication, so most of our interaction makes it only onto our e-mail list. ;-)
Our next meeting is planned for Wednesday, 4th Jan, at my place. If you'd like to come and meet the group, pls email me directly at greencomms [at] yahoo.ca and I'll send you my address.

Looking forward to meeting you and finding out your area of interest. Have you started reading parts of The Transition Handbook?

I am just reading this today. Wishing I had read it sooner. Great holiday thus far though.
