Transition Toronto invites our Neighbourhood Groups to participate in an Open Space meeting on Wednesday, September 28. The primary goal of this meeting is to establish systems and resources to allow TTo to better support the Transition Neighbourhoods around the City.
Please be sure to come if you are part of a neighbourhood initiating group (even if it is not a formal or official group yet).
We are eager to use this event as a means of identifying your areas of need. We want to hear about, and provide, ideas on products and services that could be provided by TTo’s neighbour-hood support team, as well as potential partner groups or businesses to connect with in your area.
Thus far, we have identified and are inviting the following Transition Neighbourhoods:
East End Transition Enthusiasts (EETE)
West End in Transition (WE-IT)
plus residents interested in joining EETE or forming a "Beach In Transition" group
Also consider attending this event if you are working to grow Transition in your area (even if you’re not yet a group listed above) and have some feelings towards how the neighbourhood-scale initiatives can be supported by our city-wide Transition Initiative. Please have at least a basic understanding of what Transition Towns are about. (You can read up on this website, at www.transitionnetwork.org/, or the "Transition Handbook" (at libraries or book stores)).
Questions to think about in advance and which we will pose at the meeting:
PLEASE RSVP with us at email@example.com and identify which neighbourhood group you are part of, or the area you live in.
We look forward to having all the TT Neighbourhood Groups together for an interactive session! See you then.
