herb workshop

Hello friends and those interested in herb Workshops!

It is that time of year again.

I am offering a weekend teaching in June, that is the 16^th and 17^th, You are welcome to arrive on the 15^th in the evening,.To be held at the NorthernLight Centre near Collingwood.

As always the workshop will be hands on, foraging and identifying local herbs for medicine making and for food(eating) yum yum.

During the course of the weekend besides using simple ceremony I will lead you on three herb walks so that you can identify and collect herbs(weeds), giving you an opportunity to look, taste,smell and feel the herbs.

We will make a wild salad to add to what you bring for your dinner on Sat evening.

In the afternoon on Saturday you will make a herbal tincture and an infused oil. I will show you how to make a poultice(compress) and a herbal infusion to drink.

I will be happy to discuss any dis-ease you are interested in –( perhaps that you are experiencing or that a family member has.) and appropriate herbal medicine to help your healing process.

This is the bare bones of what we will actually cover, since it also depends on what comes up in conversation.

There will be a Fire on Friday and Saturday night so that you can sit under the stars and dream,or drum or enjoy the glass of wine you might bring with you and tell stories.

Last but not least this is an opportunity to connect more deeply with Mother Earth and learn some of her wisdoms. To appreciate just how much beauty and nourishment she offers us daily. You are welcome to wander the 50 acres of fields and forest that surround the Northern Light Centre. Bring a tent if you wish.

The fee for the weekend for accommodation and workshop is $191.00. If you wish to come for half the workshop, i.e. Saturday only the Fee is $85.00.
