DESCRIPTION:Are you one of Toronto’s creative container gardeners? T
 hen join Toronto Balconies Bloom, Riverdale Food Working Group and Tor
 onto Green Community for our first online Edible Container Garden Show
 ! We want this contest to showcase the great small space gardens growi
 ng in Toronto and inspire container gardeners across and beyond the ci
 ty to get creative with their growing. Anyone growing any kind of edib
 le plants in a creative container is invited to participate.  Photo s
 ubmissions will be posted online and will compete for great garden pri
 zes to be awarded by a panel of celebrity gardener judges. Prizes will
  be awarded based on criteria such as creativity, innovation, aestheti
 c or educational value, success in addressing a goal such as providing
  evening or seasonal interest, using native plants, or tackling a part
 icular micro-climate challenge. In addition, there will be a category 
 for best container grown by youth (under 18 years old). Winning submis
 sions will be posted on the Toronto Balconies Bloom website and may be
  part of a photo exhibition afterward.\nWant to participate? Here are 
 the guidelines:75% of the plant material must be edible. This can incl
 ude edible flowers, vegetables, fruits, and herbs.Containers must be s
 alvaged, recycled, reused, reusable, DIY or handcrafted. See samples f

 dible.While the focus is on an individual container, we recognize your
  pot might look its best or reveal its unique qualities within context
 . Maximum two photos per participant! Photos are to be the property of
  contest participant. Organizations are encouraged to support their co
 mmunity members with photography and image submission.Entry must be in
  JPEG format and no larger than 250 KB. Images must be no larger than 
 1000 pixels long, 72 dpi and saved at quality level 12. All submission
 s need to include entrant’s contact email address, location of photo
 graph and, if applying for youth category, year of birth. All submissi
 ons must be accompanied by a summary of up to 150 words that describes
  plants, materials used, and any relevant explanatory information.  S
